Upgraded dispatch rooms for the amsterdam police and the netherlands’ national police

What’s the scope?

Tein Technology has been selected as the go-to partner for the upgrade of two dispatch rooms. The first is the joint dispatch room in Amsterdam, used by the police, the fire department and the ambulance services.

Our teams will also carry out a comprehensive upgrade of the Netherlands’ National Police dispatch room. Our experts will deliver, install, and maintain the communication systems over the next 5 years.

Upgrading dispatch rooms

The control rooms’ current telecommunication systems – the so-called ARBI-dispatch – are up for renewal and will be replaced.

Using the Atos Unify OpenScape software, we will create a future-proof and high-tech dispatch room with maximum user comfort.

Large number of work stations

The assignment will cover the communication systems of the dispatch room in Amsterdam and that of the Netherlands’ National Police.

Both dispatch rooms are among the largest that the police, fire department and ambulance services have at their disposal, and both are equipped with a large number of work stations. Beyond these, there is also the possibility to renew the communication system of the training facility.

Connected to the IDS (integrated dispatching system)

The particularity of this project is the connection it will establish between the dispatch rooms and the integrated dispatching system – or IDS. Tein Technology will handle part of the development of this connection, through its R&D department.

Smooth coordination at all times

The IDS ensures smooth coordination between the dispatch rooms of the different emergency organizations and the teams on the streets. Through the IDS, calls from civilians will be seamlessly processed.

The software will automatically make deployment suggestions based on location, manpower and travel time. What is more, the IDS will be able to answer, start and end calls.

A lasting partnership

Tein Technology and the Dutch police will work closely together throughout the entire project, from delivery and installation to maintenance.

This pre-emptive and curative maintenance – based on pre-determined SLA’s – will be ensured by our experts for the following five years, and potentially another two years thereafter.
