System Engineer – Brussels

Are you passionate about new technologies? Are you looking for a varied job, a challenge in the field where you can analyze, install and resolve technical issues in high-end control room systems? Then you are the one we’re looking for to join our technical team as System Engineer!

System Engineer: what?

Within the Services department, you are responsible for the management of various systems installed at the customer. If a problem occurs, you analyze the problem and develop the best solution, in close collaboration with the team. You do not only perform classic maintenance tasks, but will also proactively monitor the systems, roll out upgrades, and perform lifecycle management.

You are trained in various new technologies and will implement new installations at customers together with our Project Engineers and Project Managers.

Here’s what you’ll be up to

Maintenance

  • You perform corrective maintenance on various mission-critical systems.
  • You perform updates and upgrades on existing systems.
  • You perform preventive visits in the framework of maintenance contracts.
  • After each intervention, you update the documentation of the customer site (software release, installed base).

Project Based

  • Implementation and installing projects:
    • You’ll prepare future installations in a lab environment.
    • You’ll install and commission the solution at the client.
    • You’ll get to give training sessions to Users.
    • You’ll be documenting installations (As-built) and creating user manuals.

You’re the perfect fit: your education, knowledge & work experience

You have a master’s degree in industrial sciences electronics/ICT or a Master’s in ICT – or a Bachelor’s in Electronics or ICT – with three to 5 years of relevant experience. You know your way around Networking (CISCO CCNA), virtualization (VMware, Nutanix), and Windows server environments or Linux systems hold no secrets for you.

Recognize this skill set?

You’re fluent in Dutch and/or French, and your English skills are excellent. You’re an outstanding communicator, both written and spoken. You’re an open-minded team player, with a strong customer focus and a flexible, can-do mentality. You’re not afraid to take the initiative and are accustomed to working independently.

As icing on the cake, you bring the necessary experience in control room environments to the table. Think video surveillance, automation, telecommunication, access control, or voice recording. Now, that’s not a must, but it’s a plus!

Here’s what we have to offer

Come work with the latest innovative tech solutions, and build mission-critical environments that are second to none. You’ll be welcomed into a very dynamic, family-owned company, where every employee counts and is appraised for his or her qualities.
